1995 is the year that X-Rated, the programme now broadcast on the Concertzender every Sunday evening between 21:00 CET and 23:00 CET, first aired on the radio. It began as a programme on Kink FM where it was created by various programme makers, and subsequently grew into a legendary programme for fans of experimental, avant-garde, dark, and/or electronic music. When Kink FM closed down, the programme found a new home at Concertzender, where it has been broadcast since 2011 under the inspired leadership of Bob Rusche.
October 1st is X-Rated’s official birthday, marking its 30th anniversary. On the following Sunday, October 5th, this joyous occasion will be celebrated on the radio with a playlist compiled not by Bob, but by listeners!
