Composers and Musicians of the Netherlands

Corrie van Binsbergen’s Playlist

Guitarist and composer Corrie van Binsbergen shares some of her musical favourites in the podcast Muziekmakers der Nederlanden (Composers and Musicians of the Netherlands), in an episode released on 19 October 2026. She is also one of the composers featured in the upcoming Parelduiken (pearl diving) concert taking place on 13 November 2026 at Hertz, TivoliVredenburg, in Utrecht.

The Parelduiken project is now in its third year. Organised by Nieuw Geneco in partnership with New Music NOW and TivoliVredenburg, and made possible in part by a donation from the Buma Social Fund, it seeks to rediscover works that have slipped out of the concert repertoire. These are pieces that have not been performed for at least ten years but deserve another chance to be heard.

The works will be performed by the Nieuw Amsterdams Peil ensemble. The composers featured are Bart Spaan, Gerda Geertens, Huba de Graaff, Riek Westerhof and, of course, Corrie van Binsbergen.
