Pocket Concerts (16) – The Metropole Orchestra Cellos brings together four extraordinary musicians: Joel Siepmann, Jascha Albracht, Annie Tangberg, and Emile Visser. As members of the renowned Metropole Orchestra, they share a deep musical bond characterised by versatility, curiosity, and a passion for genre-crossing performances.
Individually, each cellist is active in many different musical worlds, from classical and contemporary repertoire to jazz, film music, pop, and experimental projects. Together, they form an exceptional cello ensemble that emphasises the instrument’s full expressive range—from intimate, lyrical lines to powerful rhythmic textures.
In this Pocket Concert, the cellists explore sound, groove, and storytelling in a compact and personal setting. Their playing reflects both the precision of orchestral musicality and the freedom of chamber music, offering listeners a fresh perspective on what the cello can be.
