Brothers Ludwig Philipp (1847-1917) and Theophil Franz Xaver Scharwenka (1850-1924) were born in Szamotuły (Poland), which was part of Prussia at the time. While Philipp became a lecturer in Theory and Composition at the Academy, where he had studied, Xaver travelled around the world as a concert pianist. In this episode, we will tell a bit more about these active brothers.
