Bass clarinettists Fie Schouten and Tobias Klein – along with numerous other musicians – will be performing at The Basklarinet Festijn, a series of concerts and workshops including new and commissioned works. The event takes place over an extended period of time (September – November 2025) at locations throughout The Netherlands. Some concerts are included in the programmes of other festivals, such as the Gaudeamus Festival and Muze van Zuid. This hour features a part of Fie and Tobias’s ‘desert island’ choices.
Composers and Musicians offers musical portraits of creators, composers and musicians in The Netherlands based on their ‘desert island discs’ – the pieces of music they would love to share with the whole world and that play an important role in their work and lives. You can listen to the complete conversation with Fie Schouten and Tobias Klein on the podcast Muziekmakers der Nederlanden.
