The Klezmatics in concert in the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT), Amsterdam
On 4 March 2012 the Klezmatics performed in the KIT, Amsterdam. They had a reason to celebrate, having been around for over 25 years.
The Klezmatics bring 21st-century Klezmer.
The band, founded in 1986 in New York’s East Village, sometimes sounds poppy, interspersed with Arabic, African, and jazz influences.
They were the first klezmer band ever to win a Grammy Award in 2006.
