Recent work by Jens Pauly (from Cologne) from his release in the ‘eRecords’ series by Whitelabrecs. It is inspired by the ocean’s depth.
Stephan Mathieu’s extensive output makes it hard to choose just one piece, so he certainly won’t be making his last appearance on Liminal State. Before Nostromo is his homage to the sound design of Ridley Scott’s Alien. The work was originally created for a 46.12-channel sound installation.
Robert Rich is one of the veterans of the ambient genre. His music is usually not particularly dark, but in collaboration with B. (Brian) Lustmord (what’s in a name), the atmosphere becomes decidedly ‘uneasy’. Stalker is, unsurprisingly, inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky’s film of the same name.
The [Law-Rah] Collective is a collective centered around Bauke van der Wal and Martijn Pieck. Innovation refers to the way they composed the various tracks on this album through experimentation. The inspiration for Inspiration came from distinctive locations in and around the city of Utrecht.
