I. Amsterdam Klezmer Band. (19:41 min)
The band was formed in 1996 when a number of street musicians with a shared love for klezmer and related Eastern European folk music put their heads together. Job Chajes (vocals / sax), Don Munzer (accordion), Jasper de Beer and the Ukrainian accordionist / singer Alec Kopyt form the heart of the band. The most recent album Bomba Pop was released in early 2024. An album on which the Amsterdam Klezmer Band collaborated with Ulf Lindemann, a German DJ-producer who has made his mark by playing, producing and remixing various styles of world music.

II. Leo Fuld. (19:50 min)
He is one of the most famous interpreters of Yiddish songs. What few people know is that Fuld was born in Rotterdam in 1912. Just before the Second World War, Fuld left for the United States. He survived the war, but the rest of his family was murdered by the Nazis. After the war, Fuld became known as the interpreter of Yiddish evergreens such as My Yiddish Mama, Doina and Rumania. When he was 80, he returned to the Netherlands where he recorded one more album, The Legend.

III. Di Gojim. (19:38 min)
The literal meaning of the Hebrew expression ‘di gojim’ is ‘the non-Jews’. An excellent name for a group of six Frisian young men who were not Jewish but were crazy about klezmer. Di Gojim was founded in 1988 and was one of the first Dutch groups to delve into the long history of klezmer. Di Gojim does not limit itself to playing songs from the nineteenth century but gives them a contemporary and exciting twist.
