Nederlandse jazz: Shirma. Rouse
De zangeres Shirma Rouse. Shirma werd geboren op Curaçao en woonde daarna op Sint Eustatius. Later rondde ze haar middelbare school af op Curaçao. Op negentienjarige leeftijd verhuisde ze naar Rotterdam. Ze was een veelgevraagd achtergrondzangeres bij onder andere bij Candy Dulfer, Izaline Calister, Henny Vrienten, Wouter Hamel en Anouk. Ook was ze leadzangeres in diverse bands. In 2010 bracht ze haar eerste soloalbum met als titel Chocolate Coated Dreams uit. Daarna volgden Shirma sings Aretha, een eerbetoon aan de Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin en het album Should It Loud. Samen met Kim Hoorweg maakte ze het album Dedicated To You.
